MISA is a student-led professional development organization dedicated to developing your professional skill set while providing opportunities to establish personal and professional relationships.

 

In recent years, the business environment has identified “soft skills” as an essential area of professional development beyond just technical skills. These are the skills that enable effective communication, collaboration, and positive relationships with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders. Candidates who utilize teamwork, problem solving, and adaptability have a stronger rapport with people inside and outside their organizations and provide a competitive advantage in job interviews. MISA strives to help our members develop these critical professional skills by providing opportunities to network with industry professionals who can provide valuable insights into the most desirable technical skills for job seekers, but also the soft skills that set candidates apart.
